THE ARTIST

Lisa Lazzaro is an artist born in Treviso, Italy.
She currently lives in the Middle East, where she pursues her artistical and anthropological research.

Originally graduated as an Actress at the A. Galante Garrone Theatre School of Bologna, she then completes her Bachelor's degree in Conservation of Cultural Heritage and Performing Arts Management at the Ca' Foscari University of Venice.
She is now conducting her studies for a Master's degree in Anthropology.

Lazzaro's paintings are mostly realized with acrylics, but the artist loves to combine different materials into the mixture such as clay, sand, stones or dry seeds. Her technique involves building up layers of paint to create rich, textured surfaces.

The artist, particularly sensitive to the theme of Origins, through her works investigates and reflects on the concepts of Belonging - in its broadest sense - and Identity.
